Choices Psychotherapy is pleased to announce that Dr. Ranji Varghese, Psychiatrist, has joined our practice and has been named Medical Director.

Dr. Ranji Varghese

Dr. Varghese comes to Choices Psychotherapy with board certifications in psychiatry, sleep medicine, and an extensive background in studying and assessing psychological disorders.


Dr. Varghese boasts an impressive alumnus resume, including completing medical school at University of California, Irvine, serving as Chief Resident in Psychiatry Residency Training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, and Instructing at University of Minnesota for Family Medicine Residencies and Sleep Fellowships.   


Having authored several professional articles on the subject, Dr. Varghese is board certified and sub-specializes in the growing field of sleep medicine with active interests in insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, and how sleep disorders contribute to psychiatric manifestations, including disruptions in circadian rhythms.


Dr. Varghese brings to Choices a mastery of his approach to holistic assessment for addressing a patient's illness. This includes complex medication management, assessing for underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to symptoms, in addition to providing directed psychotherapy. Dr. Varghese treats adults from age 18.

Solveig Intensive Outpatient Program is a short-term program designed specifically for adults who are experiencing emotional difficulties, but who do not require (or no longer require) the intensity of inpatient psychiatric care.

8 weeks in duration
4 days per week
Day groups 3 hours
10 members per group

Assessments are being scheduled now and new members may begin group every Monday.
