7/11  27th Chamber Golf Tournament
Hosted by Ellinwood Country Club
The North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 27th annual golf tournament at Ellinwood Country Club on Friday, July 11th this year. The tournament is an incredible amount of fun and a great way to network as well as show off your amazing skills on the links.  Players range from the novice, to the pro, to those just loving being outside and spending time with friends and having a couple of beverages.  There are tons of prizes, raffles, side games, awards and a hole-in-one grand prize!  The registration fee includes a catered dinner at the end of play to round out the day.  Have a friend/spouse that just wants to come to the dinner to see you get your award?  Dinner only tickets are available for just $25.  Hurry and register now!  Play is limited to just 144 individuals and the slots fill up fast!  Register a foursome and save!  Registration forms will be available at many area businesses.

6/25 The Chamber & Coalition Have Moved!
Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony June 25th
Both the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce and the North Quabbin Community Coalition are announcing their move to new office space.  Located at 251 Exchange Street, the new space provides a great opportunity for growth for both organizations.  A grand opening ceremony and celebration will happen on Wednesday, June 25th at 10AM.  Everyone is welcome to come and help celebrate this momentous occasion!
 



 
5/7 Kessler Named Citizen of the Year for 2014
Lauded For His Commitment to the Community

The North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce recently awarded Mr. William (Bill) Kessler with its coveted Citizen of the Year Award.  The award, presented by incoming Chamber President Mr. Brian Hunton, recognizes Bill's longstanding commitment to the North Quabbin region including his service as a Rotarian, YMCA member and President, little league coach and innumerable positions of service in a wide variety of organizations in the area.
The award was presented to Bill via Skype as he was attending a conference in Florida.  Congratulations Bill!
6/15 Athol Historical Society
Honoring Our Local Servicemen & Women
On Sunday, June 15th at 1:00 PM the Athol Historical Society will present an exhibition of its militaria collection, including the Congressional Medal of Honor bestowed upon Athol resident Elmer Snow.  This is a great opportunity to come to the society, view and learn about our region's contributions to US freedom as well as to honor all the local servicemen and women that helped to secure those freedoms. Refreshments will be served.

6/20 NQCC Barbara Corey Award 
North Quabbin Community Coalition Seeks Nominations
The 17th Annual Barbara Corey Award will be presented at the annual luncheon to be held on June 20, 2014.  The award is named for Barbara Corey, the first coordinator of the Coalition from 1984 until her retirement in 1997. Barbara embodies the spirit of the Coalition because of her passion, her values, her commitment to humanity and her love of the North Quabbin region. The award is presented to someone in the North Quabbin Community who has gone above and beyond in their commitment to improving the quality of life for those living and working in the region.
6/21 Orange Riverfest Committee Seeks Participants
Sign Up Now For Riverfest!

The Orange Riverfest Committee is looking for local businesses to participate by sponsoring an event or activity for either kids, adults or families at their Orange Solstice Riverfest event on June 21st. Businesses would be responsible for organizing, staffing, setting up, taking down and cleaning up their booth/display areas. Suggestions include a craft table for kids using recyclables, a croquet tournament for adults or families, a scavenger hunt, carnival style games, and perhaps an old fashioned sack race.  The sky's the limit! There is no fee to participate unless you are charging for your event. Businesses can promote themselves with banners, flyers, coupons, etc. This event is being heavily promoted statewide and strong attendance is anticipated.
