Dear Lakeview Families, Time flies when you are having fun, and time sure is flying here at Lakeview! As you know, we have had a flurry of activities from DIBELs testing in K-2; SBA testing in 3-5; dance week; art walk; field trips, and more. In the coming weeks we are looking forward our egg drop, field day, school-wide kickball game, and the end-of-year assembly. One of the most important events we are looking forward to is our Volunteer Tea on June 2nd, from 8:oo-8:45 am in the Lakeview Lunchroom. We will be honoring our amazing volunteers for the many hours and numerous talents they have contributed throughout the year! There will be treats, entertainment, and prizes. This is a grown-up affair to thank all our volunteers for their time and dedication to our students. The event is hosted by the Lakeview Elementary staff. We talk with the students about finishing the school year with excellence, making every day the best day that they can because before we know it we will be breaking for summer. Egg Drop Volunteers Needed

Golden Acorn Nominations
Each year Lakeview PTSA gives out the Golden Acorn Award to recognize a volunteer who has given outstanding service to ALL children in the school community. The Golden Acorn Award winner receives a gold pin in the shape of an acorn and a special certificate. A contribution of $70 is made to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program in their name. This program provides grants to Washington State high school graduates entering their freshman year in college, university or vocational school. Previous winners were: Megan Gardner ('14-'15) Jennelle Mullet ('13-'14) Jenna Todd ('12-'13) Jenny Carlson ('11-'12) Karen Tipp ('10-'11) The winner will be honored at the Volunteer Tea towards the end of the school year. Your nomination is due no later than May 25, 2016.

Field Day Volunteers Needed
