Hello Lakeview Families, What a wonderful start to the school year! Watching over 500 Leopards return to Lakeview with enthusiasm and excitement was an absolute delight. Your children did a fantastic job adjusting to new teachers and new classmates. The school year is off to a great start! Our teachers and staff have worked tirelessly to prep for the year, including curriculum night early on so Lakeview families had a chance to connect with their children's classroom teacher before the start of the year. I am impressed, but not surprised, by the caliber of educators working at Lakeview. I hope you will keep the Sept 10th school BBQ on your calendars. It will be a terrific way for us to connect as a community. Thank you for sharing your children with us every day, it is a great trust and responsibility. Sincerely,

PTSA BBQ SEPTEMBER 10 AT 5:30
Please come to the Lakeview PTSA BBQ on Thursday, September 10, from 5:30 -7:00pm--rain or shine. The whole family is invited! Come and mingle with other families and have your kids play. Dinner is $4.00 per person. Dinner includes hamburgers, garden burgers, hot dogs, western BBQ baked beans, homemade pasta salad, veggies, watermelon, popsicles and other goodies...or you can bring your own picnic!!! Cash or check (sorry no meal cards)

FALL AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT INFO
The after school fall enrichment flyer was included in the back-to-school packets. First-come, first-serve online registration began Saturday, August 29, at noon and ends on Sunday, September 13. In order to ensure accurate class rosters, late registrations will NOT be accepted. Important Registration Information - Make only one paypal payment for EACH child's class(es) by selecting all of the classes that your child wishes to take on the first page of the Sign Up Genius. Please complete a separate Sign Up Genius session and payment for EACH child in your family.
- Please register for the appropriate spot. If you sign up for priority enrollment you are committing to chaperoning at least one week of the class.Click here to sign up to chaperone.
- Note: Classes will begin ONLY if all of the chaperone positions are filled in advance and if the minimum number of students register. If a class is canceled, all registration fees will be refunded.
Very Important Chaperones! (VICs) - VICs chaperone every week for a class for the entire session and they are offered FREE enrollment for that class for one child. Must be LWSD approved volunteer and PTSA member. If interested, please contact the enrichment chair at lakptsaenrichment@gmail.com or by text 425.246.1180.
Scholarships are available by lottery; for consideration, please contact the enrichment chair at lakptsaenrichment@gmail.com or by text 425.246.1180. PTSA members receive a $5 discount on each class.

September 21-25 is Lakeview Walk to School Week!
This fun event returns the week of September 21-25. Students will get cards punched for each day they walk or bike to school, and there will be lots of chances to win prizes for individuals and classrooms. Punch cards will be distributed to classrooms the week before. Students who arrive by bus or car will have a bingo board to complete for prizes as well. Parent volunteers will be in the covered basketball court each morning punching cards. Kids can also grab healthy snacks and coupons from our partners Met Market and Menchie's.
