Lakeview Families,

What a fun whirlwind the last few days were at Lakeview! It has been the kind of week that makes me nostalgic for my own elementary school experience. Carnival, Valentine's Day, Reading Challenge, and so many other fun things took me back a few decades! It's one of the things I love about this job.

Our PTSA sponsored a wonderful carnival last Friday. If you were here, and I think most of you were, you saw a building that was full of people and buzzing with excitement. It was an absolute blast. I've said before that I always get nervous publicly thanking people because I undoubtedly will miss someone, but I do want to thank Kendra Rosencrans, Susie McDonald, Jenny and Chris Carlson, and Matt Knowlton for heading up and executing a successful event that is a massive undertaking.

Wednesday our fourth and fifth graders participated in the Global Reading Challenge sponsored by King County Library System. I was so proud of our students! They performed amazingly well and were well prepared from all of their reading and, of course, by the wonderful Sarah Jensen.

If your little one didn't already tell you, Wednesday also happened to be our 100th day of school. They have been very excited in anticipation of this big milestone. Some of our students even dressed up in suits and dresses for the occasion!

We will see you next week!

Rebekah
