Funding for Lincoln Blvd Improvements Lincoln Boulevard ATP (Active Transportation Program) Grant Application

Date: June 2nd

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Lincoln City Hall - First Floor Community Meeting Room

600 6th Street, Lincoln

The City of Lincoln is hosting a community meeting for the planning and funding of future pedestrian improvements along Lincoln Boulevard at 3 locations:
  • Intersection of Lincoln Blvd and 7th Street
  • Intersection of Lincoln Blvd and McBean Park Drive
  • Ingram Slough crossing between the northern Safeway parking lot driveway and the Lowes parking lot driveway
The proposed improvements at the intersection include larger enhanced concrete corners and crosswalks, bulbouts for reduced crossing distances, tree plantings, new parking, and roadway striping.  Improvements at Ingram Slough include a new 8ft wide concrete sidewalk, a 12ft wide tree planted strip separating the sidewalk from Lincoln Blvd, and an 8ft wide pedestrian footbridge across Ingram Slough.

Please join us to discuss the improvements as an integral part of our effort to secure additional funding for the further development of Lincoln Boulevard.

Planning a Special Event?

Throughout the years, event planners and service organizations have been looking for a comprehensive "Community Calendar" where they could advertise their events, or to check to make sure there are no other events planned for the same day.

With the City's new website, we now have such a tool in place! And the process is simple.

Simply click here to submit your event right now. Instructions are very easy to follow.

If you should have any problems submitting your event, please contact the City's Public Information Officer, Jill Thompson, at (916) 434-2448 and she will be happy to walk you through the process.

It is our hope that by using this tool, all City service organizations and event planners will get more exposure for their special events, and that by avoiding multiple events on the same day, each event will be well attended and a huge success!
