Lincoln Open Space Committee Meeting - May 11th

A general meeting of the Lincoln Open Space Committee will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 6:00 P.M. in the Willow Room at the Twelve Bridges Library.  Our speaker will be Dr. Joseph Orsini.

The topic will be Wildlife Conservation Center.

How would you like to see a herd of caribou out for a run, next to the growing herd of buffalo doing the same thing? And see baby moose twins, who lost their mother, being cared for by local students gaining experience for their veterinarian degree? You can see these, and more, currently at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Hopefully you will be able to see these in the future at the California Wildlife Conservation Center.
Dr. Joseph Orsini is a retired management professor and former Alaska State Senator, currently a resident of Sun City Lincoln Hills.

Held quarterly on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 PM, meetings often include a guest speaker and are open to all residents who have an interest in protecting and enhancing open spaces in the Lincoln area. Residents who have any open space concerns or issues are encouraged to come to the meetings to bring those to the attention of the Committee.

For additional information contact Paul Denzler, Co-Chair of the Open Space Committee, at 916-622-5246 or visit our website at www.lincolnopenspace.org

Planning a Special Event?

Throughout the years, event planners and service organizations have been looking for a comprehensive "Community Calendar" where they could advertise their events, or to check to make sure there are no other events planned for the same day.

With the City's new website, we now have such a tool in place! And the process is simple.

Simply click here to submit your event right now. Instructions are very easy to follow.

If you should have any problems submitting your event, please contact the City's Public Information Officer, Jill Thompson, at (916) 434-2448 and she will be happy to walk you through the process.

It is our hope that by using this tool, all City service organizations and event planners will get more exposure for their special events, and that by avoiding multiple events on the same day, each event will be well attended and a huge success!
