Bucks for Bikes Program
The Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA) is offering subsidies of 50% up to $200 toward the cost of commuter bikes and eligible accessories through the 2016 Bucks for Bikes program.  The goal of the program is to get commuters out of their single occupancy vehicles and using a non-polluting, traffic relieving mode of travel - bicycling.

Applications will be accepted from those who work or attend school in Placer County between February 3 and March 21, 2016. As part of the application process, applicants must provide a quote from a bike shop located in Placer County, attend a free one-hour cycling clinic, and be willing to log all of their May cycling miles during the upcoming May is Bike Month campaign.

Applications are available on-line at www.pctpa.net.

This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in commuting by bike.

If you have any questions regarding the Bucks for Bikes program, please contact Scott Aaron at saaron@pctpa.net / (530) 823-4029.
