Lincoln One of the Safest Cities in California

Lincoln is one of the safest cities in California according to a new 2016 study by home security and financial website CreditDonkey.

How did the number crunchers at CreditDonkey determine the safest cities? They scored each city based on violent and property crime data to come up with a composite score. That score factors in population size, murders, rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, burglaries, larcenies, motor vehicle thefts and arsons.

Go here for details about the study.

Can You Help Us Grow Lincoln's Art in Public Places Campaign?

If you enjoy the new large mural in Downtown Lincoln on the side of the Family Dollar Store, we would like to encourage you to consider donating to help us complete Phase II of the Lincoln Art in Public Places Campaign.

These three murals will be located on the side of Simple Pleasures and have been created by local artist Viktor Verhovod. Donations of any size will be accepted. Donations of $200 or more will be recognized on the donor plaque when the artwork is completed. Anyone donating $500 to $999 will receive one signed mural rendering signed by the artist. A donation between $1000 to $1999 will receive two signed mural renderings signed by the artist. And finally, a donation of $2000 or greater will receive all three mural renderings signed by the artist. To donate, simply make out a check payable to the Lincoln Community Foundation and mail to ATTEN: Pam Mathus, City Manager's Office, Lincoln City Hall, 600 6th Street, Lincoln CA 95648. For more information, please call Pam Mathus or Jill Thompson at 434-2490.

Please share this information with your friends and neighbors so we can make this beautiful artwork a part of our growing Art in Public Places Campaign.
