Tonight's Overnight Closure for Highway 65

The rain earlier this week prompted the postponement of Monday's construction work and  overnight closure of northbound State Highway 65 in Rocklin.

Here is the revised schedule for the closure of Highway 65 between Twelve Bridges Drive and Sunset Boulevard:

  •          Northbound Highway 65: Closed from 11 p.m. Thursday (November 12) to 4 a.m. Friday (November 13). Northbound motorists will be directed to takeWest Sunset to Industrial to Twelve Bridges to Highway 65.
  •          Southbound Highway 65: Closed from 11 p.m. Monday (November 16) to 4 a.m. Tuesday (November 17). Southbound motorists will be directed to take Twelve Bridges Drive to Industrial Avenue to West Sunset Boulevard to Highway 65.
Crews will be removing a temporary support structure for construction of the new Whitney Ranch Parkway interchange overpass over the highway. Signs will direct motorists to the detour route.

Weather or unexpected events may prolong or delay the work. The construction work is part of a $9.5 million project by the City of Rocklin and Caltrans to extend Whitney Ranch Parkway and construct a new interchange at Whitney Ranch and Highway 65.

Motorists are urged to "Be Work Zone Alert" and to "Slow for the Cone Zone." Caltrans will issue updates on Twitter @D3PIO and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict 3. For real-time traffic, click on Caltrans QuickMap at: http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
