In the January 8, 2013 Special General Election, voters are electing a candidate to hold the office of State Senate 4^th district. To better help serve the community for this election, voters can drop off their voted ballots one week prior to the election, starting on December 31, 2012. Signage will be at the ballot drop-off locations so voters know where to drop their ballots inside the locations.

The locations that have been selected are: The Loomis Library located at 6050 Library Drive Loomis; times are 11am-6pm January 2, 10am-5pm on January 3&4. The Martha Riley Library located at 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd Roseville; times are 10am-7pm January 2, 10am-5pm January 3­-5, and 10am-7pm on January 7. The Rocklin Library located at 4890 Granite Drive Rocklin; times are 10am-5pm December 31, 10am-6pm January 2-3, 10am-5pm January 4-5, and 10am-6pm January 7. The Lincoln City Clerk's Office located at 600 6^th Street Lincoln; times are 9am-4pm January 2-4, and 9am-4pm January 7. Voters may also drop off their voted ballots at any polling location in Placer County on Election Day, January 8, 2013 between 7am and 8pm.
