Expect Traffic Delays/Temporary Closure on Eastbound Riosa Road

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists over the next two weeks to expect one-way traffic controls and a temporarily closure of Riosa Road between the Highway 65 Lincoln Bypass and Old Highway 65 in Sheridan.

A contractor is scheduled to rebuild a stretch of Riosa Road between the recently opened bypass and Old Highway 65.

  • Starting October 24, one-way traffic controls are scheduled to occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.
  • On Monday, October 29 and continuing through Friday, November 2, the roadway will be closed to all traffic due to construction. Motorists are advised to take West Wise Road or other alternate routes.

Roadside message boards will post the latest updates. Unexpected weather or other events may prolong or cause the work to be rescheduled. Caltrans urges motorists to use caution in this area and to "Slow for the Cone Zone".
