This week @ stl  ....

This was my Saturday on duty with the gallery.  I always pray for the day to be encouraging by bringing in visitors (we LOVE visitors) and barring that, I'll get some work done.

And I'm happy to report that it was an encouraging day with several visitors popping in and even a sale in the boutique.

Late last week, I received a text message from Floyd.  I thought you might enjoy seeing some work on our latest building improvements.

*******************************************************************

Text message to me (at the day job)

Floyd:   Apartment sized washer dryer found for $250.00, what do you think?"

Me:  "dunno.  You two ever gonna finish the wet studio?"

Floyd:  (ignoring my jibe)  "Trying to see if I can get a better price.  Are you ok with me picking it up?"

Me:  (still trying to get something for something)  If you two give me a date for finishing the wet studio, then yes.

Sometime later.....

Floyd:  Got the guy to agree to sell it for $200.00 and they'll deliver tomorrow @ 12:00

I think I lost this round of "tit for tat"  but hopefully the new addition will motivate these two to finish up the project.  If you haven't been in or toured the 'to be finished soon' wet studio, I threw in some pictures for you.

My best,

Rebekah

PS - Important stuff to remember:

  1. Two weeks left to see "What's black and white and red all over? Closing Reception is October 27th!!!
  2. Submissions for HH3 are due this week!  Yikes...can the holidays be far behind?

I'm inspecting the new addition.  I hate to say this but we don't know if it works or not.  It looks pretty good though.  Ah well, Floyd is handy so if it doesn't work, it'll be his problem to solve.

Next challenge is to move the washer/dryer from the workroom past Esmerelda and into the wet studio.

It's going to be a great space to work in, this is the stove, counter top and vent.  Melanie wants to be able to safely mix her dyes down here.

The space will be available for use also so keep us in mind as we finalize the details

To the left is where the washer/dryer will sit and there's a nice big stainless steel sink.

It looks like Melanie is making good use of the space even though it's not completed yet.
