Here's your chance to get involved, contribute to the growth of the parking industry, and have a say in messaging targeted at your prospective customers. IPI is inviting senior management at member company equipment, technology, and service providers to become involved in an initiative that began with last spring's IPI Suppliers Summit in Chicago, and which has evolved to become IPI's Smart Parking Alliance. The new group, co-chaired by David Cummins (Xerox) and Laurens Eckelboom (Parkmobile), is gearing up to support the mission of IPI and the Parking Matters program to advance the parking profession through collaborative data-gathering, content development, education, and awareness. To be part of IPI's Smart Parking Alliance, send contact information for one or two senior management company representatives to [email protected].

ACT logoIPI is announcing a new, expanded partnership with the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) that will help the organizations tackle broad transportation issues. The groups plan to co-sponsor regional conferences that will focus on how to apply parking management techniques and technologies to TDM, including optimizing on-street parking performance, control strategies for emissions mitigation, increasing use of park-and-ride facilities, and developing policies to support ride-sharing, car-sharing, and other commuter options. Upcoming IPI-ACT conferences will be listed in the IPI calendar at parking.org. If you would like to host state or regional IPI-ACT conferences, contact Henry Wallmeyer at 540.371.7535. IPI Webinar: P3 and a University Parking System - The Ohio State University Story

e-learning logo

Turning campus parking operations over to public private partnerships (P3) through upfront payments and long-term leases is gaining attention and interest. There are clear benefits, but also many details that must be clarified and documented so bidders understand exactly what they are bidding on, and the university understands what it will retain and how the arrangement will work.

Join us for this webinar and:

  • Review what should be considered in a long-term lease of campus parking facilities.
  • Learn how to define and separate roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop operating standards that address the needs of the institution while producing a biddable document.

Instructor:

Sarah Blouch, President, CampusParc LP
