The American Indian Graduate Magazine is seeking advertisers and stories for the next issue.
Overall, American Indians and Alaska Natives have made great strides in pursuing higher education. However, there's a growing gap between between American Indian women and men, entering and completing higher education. It almost appears there's a crisis. The fall 2015 American Indian Graduate magazine will focus on what is at the root of fewer American Indian men pursuing higher education and the solutions. AIGC is currently seeking articles 1,000 to 1,500 words (due June 15, 2015). If you would like to share information or have any questions, please contact linda@aigcs.org. There are opportunities to advertise in The American Indian Graduate magazine. The deadline to submit advertisements is July 5, 2015. AIGC Scholarship Opportunities

The American Indian Graduate Center administers undergraduate, graduate, professional, associate and vocational scholarships. Each AIGC scholarship has it's own eligibility requirements and award amounts.
Wells Fargo American Indian Scholarship: Deadline Approaching!
- Applicants must be pursuing a career and degree in fields relating to banking, resort management, gaming operations, management and administration (including accounting, finance, information technology and human resources).
- Undergraduate: Must be a college undergraduate junior or senior and must meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria.
- Graduate: Must be a full-time graduate student and have financial need.
- The deadline to apply is May 15, 2015.
The AIGC Fellowship:
- Applicants must be pursuing a masters, doctorate or professional degree as a full-time student, at an accredited graduate or professional school in the United States and be able to demonstrate financial need.
- The deadline to apply is June 1, 2015.
BIE - Loan for Service:
- Graduate level educational loan
- Awarded to students possessing a minimum 3.0 GPA and are pursing a masters, doctorate or professional degree, as a full-time student, at an accredited graduate or professional school, in the United States.
- Loan for Service recipients must agree to relocate, if necessary, to obtain acceptable employment for the service payback agreement.
- The deadline to apply is June 1, 2015.
Cobell Scholars:
- Vocational, undergraduate, graduate or professional level scholarships
- U.S. Federally-recognized American Indian and Alaska Native community members
- Able to demonstrate financial need
- The deadline to apply is June 1, 2015.
REDW Native American Scholarship in Accounting:
- REDW will fund 2 students each year to study accounting.
- Undergraduate: Must be a full-time accounting degree-seeking college undergraduate junior or senior and must meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria.
- Graduate: Must be a full-time, accounting, degree-seeking graduate student and have financial need.

The American Indian Program (AIP) at Cornell University
The American Indian Program at Cornell University has helped more than 400 Native American Students reach their educational goals. Native people who will contemplate, study and contribute to the building of Nation and community in Native America. Student Services staff members provide support to help students accomplish their goals. When Native students arrive on the Cornell campus, as undergraduates or graduate students, they can rely on AIP for academic and financial aid planning, as well as personal assistance. AIP connections throughout the university community help facilitate students' transition to the rigorous academic programs and help them achieve that delicate balance between academic success and a full extracurricular life.

Tulsa University College of Law Native American Law Center Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law
|
The University of Tulsa has partnered with Concord Law School of Kaplan University to produce a new online master's degree program, focused on Indian Law. The Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law (MJIL) is for college graduates interested in learning about Indian law, but may not wish to become lawyers. It's also for lawyers who wish to gain additional expertise or expand their practices. The MJIL is a 30-credit hour program offered entirely online. Classes will incorporate the latest materials, audio files and video feeds, in a curriculum designed to ensure efficient and active learning about practical issues of the day. The program makes it possible for tribal lawyers and judges, as well as tribal leaders and administrators who possess a bachelor's degree, to expand and improve their knowledge of Indian law without having to leave Indian Country.

NASA Postdoctoral Program
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) supports NASA's goal to expand scientific understanding of the Earth and the universe in which we live.
Selected by a competitive peer-review process, NPP Fellows complete one- to three-year Fellowship appointments that advance NASA's missions in earth science, heliophysics, planetary science, astrophysics, space bioscience, aeronautics and engineering, human exploration and space operations and astrobiology.
- Annual stipends start at $53,500, with supplements for high cost-of-living areas and certain degree fields
- Annual travel budget of $8,000
- Relocation allowance
- Financial Supplement for health insurance purchased through the program
- Appointments renewable for up to three years
- Approximately 90 Fellowships awarded annually

Social Workers Advancing through Grounded Education (SAGE) Program
|
The Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies was founded to provide scholarships for American Indians and has grown into one of the most respected centers in the nation for academic advancement and study of American Indian issues related to social work.
The SAGE project will recruit, train and financially support Native and non-Native students as they complete their concentration practica. SAGE students are awarded paid practicums and will complete 360 hours of their field education, either in American Indian Country or with American Indian populations, providing students with the necessary experience to transition into employment in Indian Country.

The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA)
|
The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) is the only four-year degree fine arts institution in the nation devoted to contemporary Native American and Alaska Native arts. It is devoted to the study of contemporary arts, as well as the art of education. IAIA also operates the Center for Lifelong Education and the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts.
The Institute is accredited, by both the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. This enables the credits earned at the Institute to be transferred to other schools of higher education, in accordance with their academic requirements.
