"We explored the streets that twist and turn and provide unique surprises along the way: a bright blue door, hand-painted address numbers, a green mailbox, pots of flowers, and amazing views.

"The cobblestone streets and tall stone houses and shops reveal a place that is both ancient and timeless. I feel the everpresence of history, from age-old baths to satellite dishes.

"We climbed stairs carved in rock to the highest point, to see vistas of the surrounding valleys and hills. We climbed past layers and layers of stone, ancient rocks pushed upward and upward from the sea. These rocks now look like gigantic stacks of pancakes. We drive along and turn, to be suddenly faced by a huge cliff of stone. In this place, rocks once danced, and now they rest.

"I loved the variety of artisans.

 "At the Cherry Festival in Caseneuve, merchants sold lavender and products with lavender in it, like macaroons, oils, tapenades, breads, cookies, crafts, wines, cheeses, and jams.

"I loved our deep conversations.

"Afternoon tea and wine with olives, cheese, bread, spreads, cookies, and tarts. And wine. We sat in the sun and talked. Deeply. 

"I loved practicing authenticity. 

"When ego is in charge, there is no room for fun or games. Games are bad, a waste of time, counter-productive. Games are only used to manipulate. When playing games with others, ego must win or be humiliated. Ego is task-driven.

"When authenticity is in charge, games are an expression of creativity, childlike joy, and pleasure. They are a building device for learning and growing, peace-driven.
