Hello, beautiful one!

When I started this enewsletter "diary" three years ago, I was poised at the brink of the unknown, launching myself into new experiences and leaving behind the world as I had known it. Life is like that--full of beginnings and endings and more beginnings. We Metaphysical Travellers tie up our boots and hike up psychological mountains, because there's a side to life we haven't experienced yet, and we are into self-expansion and Self-realization.

Here are the challenges I chose and accomplished:

2010 -- Drove across the USA from California to Maryland.

2010 -- Experienced living in Provence, France, for two months.
2011 -- Published a Cecil County, Maryland, Directory of Holistic Practitioners in time for the community college's first ever Mind, Body, and Spirit Festival.

2011 -- Learned to communicate with nature spirits.

2011 -- Initiated bringing Americans to experience summers in Provence, France, as their meditation and tour guide.

2011 -- Learned to juice.

2011 -- Learned the craft of wood-burning.

2012 -- Learned to forage for wild greens.

2012 -- Organized the Dragonfly Wellness Festival.

If I had had a bucket list, none of these items would have been on it, because I would not have thought of them. They came into my life organically, desires sprouting out of the blue, in service to my ongoing self-expansion.

A word I'm hearing a lot these days is "yoga", which means action which yokes one's physical self to one's spiritual Self. Any action we undertake can be a form of yoga if it is undertaken as a way of yoking our physical self to our spiritual Self. So I have experienced driving yoga, multicultural yoga, publishing yoga, communication yoga, tour guide yoga, learning yoga, and event yoga. LOL.

What challenges are you accomplishing and what kind of "yoga" have you experienced through them?  Please click Reply and dash me a quick note. I look forward to hearing from you!

Ascension With Lisa

Lisa attended Zing's presentation on "How To Be A Healer In The World" at the January Mind, Body, Spirit Festival in Elkton, Maryland. She listened to Zing's description of "standing wave resonance"--how a person holding the frequency of wholeness creates a standing wave which transmits that frequency around her/him, thus becoming a healer simply by holding that frequency and placing hands on another living being.

"I enjoyed your healing class at the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival. I have a story to tell you...

"I have a pit bull mix, Poppy, who lost 20 pounds in 2 months. He was slowing down and at times seemed in pain. The vet said only cancer makes them lose weight that quick, though she did not have an x-ray or ultrasound machine for confirmation. Since there is little treatment and due to his age, our intention was to make him as comfortable as possible. My husband asked her if it could be Lyme's disease. She said it was not likely, but gave us antibotics anyway, as they would not hurt.

"Poppy became very sick. He no longer got on the couch. It hurt him too bad. He had almost stopped eating. He would stand for hours at night.  Dogs stand when in pain. We called my son to bring down our granddaughter to say good-bye. We thought we would have to put him down last week as we will not let him suffer with cancer.

"Remembering what you said, I have been rubbing my hands over him and saying prayers for healing. This week he is almost normal. He is eating everything offered. He is back up on the couch and back up in the bed. He is back to walking daily with my husband and even runs off into the woods once in a while. Besides being thin, he is back to the strong dog he always was.

"I don't know whether the antibiotics or my prayers have healed him. I like to think it was my prayers. Poppy is 12 years old and I know we will lose him from old age sooner rather than later.  But I am thankful it appears that it will not be from cancer."

Erik from Hungary

Ascension With Erik

Erik, in Budapest, Hungary, is an activist for what he stands for. He believes in the idea of a universal living wage, a system of social security that regularly provides each citizen with a sum of money unconditionally, rich or poor. This goes beyond the idea of a guaranteed minimum wage for labor, to stand for every citizen's right to basic existence in a nation. The Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) describes this system as having a lower overall cost than that of current means-tested social welfare benefits.

"Here is a little film about the basic income guarantee (BIG) debate in Hungary." (Erik is the man holding the pole of a banner while being interviewed in this 4-minute TV clip.)

Swami Divya Chetnanand
Swami Divya Chetnanand
Ascension With Kalyani

"My guruji [revered teacher] is Swami Divya Chetnanand of Mumbai, where he has an ashram dedicated to his Divine Mother, Baglamukhi Parameshwari. He also has an ashram in Kashi (aka Varanasi, aka Benares). Along with several other disciples from California, I spent two weeks at the Kumbha Mela in Allahabad this February, bathing in the Ganges every day. Unforgettable. Growthful!

"Paramahansa Yoganandaji, whose line of gurus he works with on the other side, asked him in 2007 to help some of his disciples, and I was one of those lucky disciples. It's no small thing to walk this earth with a perfected master, and I am truly humbled and grateful to be in his care."

Guruji
Shri Kapalik Mahakaalji
Guru Yoga

By a twist of the Internet, Zing was introduced to Shri Kapalik Mahakaalji and Kaula Tantra. She was delighted by the description of its beliefs and values, which she presents below. She is a Cosmic Christian, not agreeing with the tight lines some Christians draw between those people God loves and those people God does not love. To her mind, if your nature is Love, there is nothing in Creation that is not loved from the Highest within you.

Shri Kapalik Mahakaalji is a guru [revered teacher] of Kaula Tantra. Philosphically, Kaula Tantra represents the unifying connectedness which underlies the objects, processes, and living beings of our world, whether this connectedness is related to as God or Goddess. Kaula Tantra is a spiritual discipline, similar to the siddha tradition and shaktism. Core concepts of Kaula Tantra are purity, sacrifice, freedom, the spiritual master (guru) and the heart.

Purity means identifying with transcendent unifying connectedness, our divinity, rather than with the objects, processes, and living beings of the world (being in the world but not of it).

Sacrifice refers to the internal discipline which keeps one's consciousness pure. All in life is placed subordinate to staying in alignment with Highest consciousness.

Freedom from inner mental and ego limitations and from outer social and cultural preconceptions/judgments is supported by participation in the family community of believers.

The guru is seen as the head of the spiritual family, much as Christ is seen as the head of the church by Christians. This relationship between disciple and guru could be called guru yoga--union with the Divine through aligning one's consciousness with the pure consciousness of the guru.

The Spiritual Heart is where humanity and divinity mesh, where the individual experiences the bliss of connectedness with all Creation and beyond, of supreme consciousness.

Rainbow MeditatorMeditation: Zing Along!

A CLASP ON LIFE

Imagine the golden links of a delicate necklace. Imagine yourself as one of those delicate golden links. Feel yourself with one arm linked through an arm on your left and one arm linked through an arm on your right. Feel yourself as one necessary link in a chain of links.

We are all necessary or the necklace isn't complete.

The Great Chain of Being has many links. From mineral-filled earth to etheric sky, there is a rhyme and purpose for every link of this chain. Its beauty is astounding, renowned. Its complexity is enormous. Its variety is beyond compare. And it wouldn't be complete without its clasp--that which holds it all together in a complete circle of wholeness.

The clasp of the Great Chain of Being is also you, on a different dimension. In your inner wisdom, you are not only one part of the Great Chain of Being, but also its owner and keeper. Together, with every other link, you are the clasp which holds all reality, all Creation, together.

You are the power without which the world would not turn. You are the light which energizes life. You are the nurturer of Creation. Your ways are boundless, and your beauty immeasurable.

It is hard for us to imagine ourselves in a position of complete power and authority. And yet, that is us. That is you and me and everyone else, together. Together we make up the Oneness of which we are also experiencing outselves as a part. Feel yourself as one with the whole of the necklace--experiencing yourself not just as one link, but also as the clasp holding beginning and end together in the great circle of Time. Feel your eternal strength, indomitable. Hold this experience of strength within yourself as you move through your day. How might you feel your day's events differently, from this point of view?

Where in the World is Zing?
Metaphysical Travellers
are people who travel through life with a metaphysical perspective. That means we view life as a journey. We travel from star to star as easily as we traverse the grounds we walk upon. We care about the earth, humanity, and the living planets around us. We hike up psychological mountains to see what's on the other side.

As we travel together, we support each other on our individual journeys--laughing, crying. We take each mundane aspect of physical life as a challenge to our spiritual creativity as we intend bringing more spiritual joy into our lives.
