The 48th season includes seven world premieres, five musicals, five productions by Atlanta playwrights, and exceptional productions for youth and families.  The 2016/17 season marks the Alliance's last in its current theater space before it undergoes a complete renovation, its first since it was built in 1968.

She's instantly recognizable from her role as eccentric computer expert Chloe O'Brian from TV's popular 24 series, but Mary Lynn Rajskub is also a gifted comedian, writer, artist and musician. Besides the hit FOX show, her impressive credits include "2 Broke Girls," "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," and "@ Midnight." She's a master of live improv and is an in-demand guest for music videos, including memorable cameos with Sheryl Crow ("A Change Would Do You Good"), Beck ("New Pollution") and Weezer ("The Good Life").

Celebrating 39 years of musical mastery, the festival returns to historic Piedmont Park with three days of music over Memorial Day Weekend. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is the perfect way to spend Memorial Day Weekend with family and friends. Audiences will enjoy a wide spectrum of styles from traditional straight-ahead jazz, Latin jazz and swing  to jazz flavored with neo-soul, hip-hop and R&B. Experience the stellar swing of saxophonist Benny Golson, soak up the sensuous stylings of Eliane Elias, and groove to the soulful rhythms of Jamison Ross. The festival offers music every day in May and culminates with the huge final weekend in Piedmont Park.  National and international musicians will perform on two stages. Admission to the festival is free.  Festival hours in Piedmont Park are Friday, May 27 from 6pm - 11 pm; Saturday, May 28 from 11am - 11pm and Sunday, May 29 from 11 am - 11 pm.
