Couples Must Bare it All, When it Comes to Money!
Getting "financially naked" can lead to happier and richer relationships.

Financial transparency may be the key to a happy relationship. A recent MONEY magazine poll suggests that Boomers and Millennials agree that "baring it all" when it comes to money sets a solid foundation for a relationship. It is important to know where you both stand on issues like debt, goals and non-negotiable items. Couples who have full disclosure of their finances in all phases of a relationship tend to have less conflicts.

Are You Ready for Year Ahead?
In times of heightened volatility you need to know whether your portfolio is built for 2016 and beyond.

When investing money, make sure you have a plan, clear objectives and a sense of your risk tolerance. Today's market movements can sometimes feel nauseating.  Just try watching the tickers daily or examine the change in your account values over the past few months. Most experts predict that the coming year will be volatile; but short term uncertainty has often lead to long term rewards.  If it's time re-visit your portfolio, feel free to give us a call.

Emotions and Your Money
Your ability to control your finances is directly proportional to your ability to control your emotions.

Valentine's Day is this weekend.  It's a holiday that reminds us of love, emotions, and oftentimes money. How you choose to use your money can often be an emotional choice - and is sometimes varies based on how you are feeling on any given day. The most common emotions related to money are fear and greed - especially when dealing with investing. Fear takes hold when markets sink and greed runs rampant when the markets boom!

Despite the old adage "buy low & sell high", emotion often leads novice investors to do the opposite in spite of their best intentions. Do your best to stay rational in emotional times.
