Men & Women Retire Differently
Do You See What I See?

A recent study confirms something we've observed in our office for years - men and women view "retirement" differently. When couples are out of step with how they'll spend their time in retirement it can cause stress to a marriage. Being on the same page with your spouse before you retire can reduce the stresses of suddenly finding yourself with a lot time and totally different ideas on how to spend it!

What is the Middle Class, Anyway?
There is a lot of talk about the rich, the poor and the middle class this election, but just who fits where?

To be part of the top 1% of earners in the US last year, you needed a household income of $429,000. On the other side of the spectrum a family of 4 with an income of $24,250 live at the federal poverty level. This leaves many in the middle, but does that make you middle class? Where do we all fit in this range of income levels? Is there more than just income level to consider when talking about what "class" we are?

Winter Too Much? Tips for Future Snowbirds
Thinking about spending some time down south when you retire?

Everyone gets sick of the cold so why not join the rest of the snowbirds down south? Before you make the move do your research and determine if this is truly right for you and your situation.

Before you buy consider renting. That's right.  Try before you buy. Make sure you're in the right location for your needs. Don't be surprised if you find yourself realizing that after one winter down south, that lifestyle isn't exactly what you had imagined.  But then again...it may be better!
