Greetings!
I want to thank you all for your patience during this season of never-ending rain. Since it seems like this weather pattern is becoming the norm, we are considering adding ark building to our list of services! I'm so proud of my oldest son, Steven, who graduated from Pope John High School. He's headed off to college in the fall! Great Job, Steven!

Time to...
...Prune
We will be starting our pruning services shortly. Because of the all the rain this season, everyone's shrubs seem to be overgrown! It's really important to keep your shrubs a reasonable size and shape. Gigantic plants can't be cut back without creating an unsightly mess and risking deadly damage. Please contact us for an estimate for expert pruning today!
...Power Wash
An easy way to make your home sparkle! We will power wash your siding, patios, walkways, pools, decks, fences, driveways, sheds and even cars, using only the best, environmentally-friendly cleaning products. Our crew is trained to properly treat all surfaces and to work around plantings. Request an estimate today.
...Finally Turn on Your Sprinklers!
You've saved a little water so far, but that free ride looks like it's ready to end (however, we are not guaranteeing the weather!). So, contact us today to have your sprinklers started and adjusted.
When was the last time you had your Backflow Tested?
The state of New Jersey DEP requires residential backflow tests yearly. Here's why - whenever an irrigation cycle is completed, gravity causes at least some of the water in the pipes to run out onto the ground through the lowest sprinkler head or drip emitter (even if they are only an inch lower). When the water runs out a vacuum is created in the pipe. This vacuum sucks stuff from the ground into the pipe through the higher sprinkler heads or emitters. That includes stagnant water, dirt, fertilizer, bacteria, animal waste, and anything else present at ground level. All of those can be hazardous to your health. Once in the pipe they can then flow back into the water supply. Here's a special price on backflow tests for you.
Don't miss our Fun Poll for this newsletter - results to be published next issue. See how your barbecue preferences stack up!
Contact us today to find out more about any of the services mentioned above! Or whatever else you might need! Thank You and Happy Barbecue!

Current Conditions
We have been seeing a lot of Red Thread fungus on the lawns, not surprising considering all the rain we've had. And Rutgers is reporting that downey mildew is starting to appear south of us and will likely spread north as temperatures rise and humidity increases. Here's a link to an article from Rutgers about Maskell scale, an insect that infests conifers like black pine and arborvitae. Rutgers Article source:Rutgers top
