This Thanksgiving I have decided to take some time off and give back to people in need right here in New Jersey.
I'm heading down to the shore this weekend with one crew and a few of my backhoe machines and dump trucks, to help with the clean-up efforts.
I have a lot of great memories of spending the summers down at Lavallette beach and enjoying the Point Pleasant boardwalk at night. I'm starting to get a lot of information and photos depicting the depressing damage of that whole area. The homeowners have only just been given access to their homes due to looting and the dangerous conditions of the whole area. Please look at this link to see some photos of the damage taken my homeowners.
As of now, only residents and people with machines like myself can get access to the beach. I will be leaving here on Friday. The police will start letting people in at 8 am and you have to be off the beach area by 3 pm. I hope to be able to alleviate some suffering and fix some of the damage.
Many of my customers and friends have expressed interest in donating or finding a way to help. I will be talking with residents and posting photos and information on Facebook (StevesLandscaping) so you can directly help families in need.
We appreciate your business and we look forward to continuing our relationship next season!
Thank you!
All of us at Steve's wish you and yours a blessed and safe Thanksgiving!
Steve
P.S. We are doing our best to keep up with all the additional work Hurricane Sandy has created. I want to assure you that we will continue to work until all clean-ups are completed!
Also, if you have not already done so, please return your Snow Removal Contract!
