1,350 LOCAL STUDENTS  ARE READY TO LEARN! 
It might seem the 2016 elections are coming fast, but they're still 445 days away. The way you'll vote and what you'll need to bring next year is still a question mark, though. While a law passed by in 2013 requires a state-approved photo ID, some modifications were made to the law this past June. Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to meet and mingle with your elected officials at the 2015 Elected Officials Reception on August 20th from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce. The reception honors all elected officials in Buncombe County, including the Buncombe County Commission, Asheville City Council, Biltmore Forest Commissioners, Black Mountain Alderman, Montreat Commissioners, Weaverville Town Council, Woodfin Alderman, North Carolina Senate District 48, NC Senate District 49, NC House District 114, NC House District 115, and NC House District 116.
