It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that George Pfeiffer, former CEO of United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, has passed away. George served as our President and CEO from 1984 to his retirement in 1999, a time of great accomplishments.

We call them Loaned Executives (LE) and they are full-time, professional-level temporary fundraisers. "FILL THE BUS" WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES ON SATURDAY   
GIVING BACK: EPSILON AT ERWIN MIDDLE SCHOOL  
The difference between an "A" student and a failing student can be basic school supplies to do homework and participate in class. Nearly one in four children in our community lives in poverty and can't afford tools like notebooks, pencils, or backpacks to start the school year. Help us fill buses full of school supplies this weekend. READ MORE> 
Epsilon is a local service-disabled veteran-owned small business providing global technology support and deployment services. Employees wanted to give back to their community and approached us. We managed a project at Erwin Middle School, a campus where we'll expand Middle School Success in the next two years. READ MORE>
