LIZ FRANKS: "THIS STRUCK A CHORD" 
In preparation for the GradNation Community Summit, students from area middle schools created artwork representing conditions they need to achieve adult success. The interpretations are as diverse as the students themselves, but we can all agree there's a lot of talent in Asheville and Buncombe County! There are more than 750 homeless students in Buncombe County. This struck a chord with the members of Highlands Circle, so they're taking action. Liz is chair of the project, which will collect essential household items (furniture, towels, detergent, toilet paper, etc.) to help a family transition from homelessness to permanent housing.
