Adrian Vassallo got involved with United Way when his employer, DHG, participated in the annual Day of Caring. Since then, he and his coworkers have continued to volunteer. DHG has also made a commitment to support our work by sponsoring our fundraising campaign, allowing us to get our message into more places. READ MORE>	Asheville Outlets hasn't opened its doors yet, but they've already proved themselves to be a valuable community partner by generously hosting us and other nonprofits from the region at a special preview night. For $20, guests will enjoy shopping, entertainment and more. The best part: the full ticket price is donated to a nonprofit. READ MORE>

GIVE

We gave away a car! Paramount Kia of Asheville donated a new car for us to use as an incentive for donors. It contributed to new donations totaling $11,705 to the Community Investment Fund. 10 semi-finalists tried their luck in February. VIEW GALLERY>

Did you experience the recent blast of winter? During weather disasters, NC 2-1-1's lines are an important resource for those looking for assistance, but also for disaster responders as they keep 9-1-1's lines open for emergencies. READ MORE>

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Or so the saying goes. Since it can be sunny and warm one day, while wet and dreary the next, we've rounded up lots of indoor and outdoor opportunities for you to volunteer no matter the forecast. READ MORE>

Our focus area volunteers are gearing up to review applications for the 2015-2016 funding cycle. These grants support high-quality programs in the areas of Education, Income and Health throughout Buncombe County. Do you want to know how investment decisions are made? READ MORE>

As part of our Community School strategy, we host clubs and activities, themed family nights, and opportunities for community members to volunteer.
