CA county draws ire of ACLU over pro-life resolution
The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution in April honoring the Door of Hope ministry.

Brad Dacus Picture Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute says the county board received a letter from the American Civil Liberties Union complaining about the resolution.

Dacus says the ACLU was going to file a lawsuit "on the grounds that the government can't recognize any religious institution, even the meritous work of a religious institution."

PJI offered to represent the county free of charge and on July 8 the Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 to reaffirm the resolution for Door of Hope.
