Time to Register for Transformational Communication:  Tools for Cross-Cultural Understanding and Alliance Building.

Despite well-meaning intentions, our biases significantly limit our effectiveness. Few of us realize the limits of our cultural competence because our biases are invisible to us. This highly experiential and interactive training helps us see where blind spots hinder our capacity to consistently apply our best thinking while valuing every person and perspective. Join us for this transformational workshop as we gain radical insights, practice powerful skills and build a profound trust on our journey toward increased capacity!

"I cannot believe how much I'm taking away from this experience. This is truly eye opening and I plan to share this framework with all those who are in my life."

Danville, CA, 2012 Workshop Participant

During this workshop we will:

  • Learn and practice specific cultural competency skills (constructivist listening, appreciations, developing personal cultural competency plan for growth, etc.).
  • Discharge past hurts related to oppression and leadership to be more effective and self-aware, demonstrating less rigid attitudes and behaviors that may unknowingly manifest in your life.
  • Share and deeply explore the dynamics of institutional and internalized oppression and the patterns we take on as individuals, organizations and cultural groups in response to these experiences.
  • Be inspired, connected, and prepared to build new relationships between our communities as we move forward as allies.

"I have been to many training sessions and this was by far and away the most meaningful, effective, and applicable to my personal and professional lives."

Rockville, MD, 2012 Workshop Participant
