Dear Friends,

I just returned from an amazing trip to Australia! While there I attended and presented at the International AsWorkshop Attendeessociation of Facilitators Conference in Melbourne. I gave two workshop sessions titled, "What's Power Got to Do With It?" The first session I co-facilitated with Christopher Whitnall, a native Australian and Director of talkforce in Sydney, Australia and the second with LJS Associate, Barbara MacKay. We received amazing reviews like, "This workshop would be a great opening plenary for the next conference" and "This session made my significant travel to this conference worthwhile and everything else is a bonus for me." Overall, the conference was a huge success and most definitely worth the trip. While in Australia I was able to travel to Adelaide where I spent an incredible 2 days with Quenten Agius from Aboriginal Cultural Tours. The time was life-changing and the sheer depth of knowledge gained was significant. Next, I was off to Sydney where Christopher invited colleagues for a short workshop and dialogue on diversity and inclusion. It was a treat to to connect with his team and meet some of his incredible community. While there, I explored Sydney and had fun climbing the Harbor bridge, biking around Sydney and experiencing the Opera House. Lastly, I was so excited to meet up with a friend and multiple workshop attendee in Canberra, another beautiful Australian city. Such a magnificent trip--one that will definitely be remembered!
