THE FAIR IS COMING...THE FAIR IS COMING!

JUNE 11, 2016 - 9:30am - 2:30pm
(Rain or Shine)

The Canterbury Fair is only 2 weeks away!

EVERYONE'S HELP IS NEEDED

Wow!! The Fair is getting close! June 11th is only a little over two weeks from now!

The Canterbury Fair is a parish-wide event where everyone can help....there are so many ways!! Whether you have been helping for many years or are new to our parish, you will have a lot of fun and get the satisfaction that you helped make the Fair a success again this year.

During the week before the Fair we need a LOT of volunteers to help accept and sort all the treasures that start coming in on Canterbury Sunday on June 5th. Everything needs to be sorted and priced before the day of the Fair....a huge job. Anne Marie and Debbie will be delighted to have all the help they can get!!  Debbie Schmidt can be reached at debschmidt269@gmail.com or 732-530-0759. Anne Marie Erwin can be reached at annemarieerwin@gmail.com or 732-530-9346.

Staging Is the Tent Raising and Clean-up for the Fair. This starts on Thursday June 9th in the afternoon and continues on Friday. The tents are set up and all the tables are put in place. Then on Saturday at 2:30 pm the Fair is taken down. Gregg Nowell and Bill Siebert need a LOT of able bodied volunteers to assist with this. Many hands will make this big job so much easier. There is a tremendous amount of fellowship enjoyed, and look at all the exercise you will get!!
Please contact Gregg at 732-530-0869 or at Nowell@sitarcompany.com if you can help.

There are also volunteer opportunities for the day of the Fair in the following areas:
  • Electronics & Small Appliances - Contact Ken Bowmaker at KLBPT1@comcast.net or 732-671-8202
We are hoping that every parishioner in St Georges will contribute in some way to the Canterbury Fair. Whether you have worked in an area in the past or have never worked at the Fair, please contact a Committee Chair to let them know you will help this year. The list of all the Committee Chairs is on the bulletin board in the hallway opposite the kitchen by Ralph Hall. If you have just recently joined St Georges or are not sure where you might volunteer at the Fair, please contact
Herb Geiss at 732-996-5606 or at hgeiss@comcast.net. We would be so happy to welcome you to being a part of the Canterbury fair crew!
