The Fourth Sunday of Lent

(Please scroll all the way down)
Then the father said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.'"
---Luke 15:32

WEBSITE UPDATE

Take a Carillon Tour
We invite all parishioners to visit our
"Together for Tomorrow"
website at

 or CLICK HERE

The site now includes a redesigned "Progress" tab, which will serve as the primary vehicle for St. George's parishioners to follow the progress of Phase 2 of our campaign, which we have designated as "Fulfilling Our Promise." In the "Progress" tab, you will find information on:
  • Pledge Fulfillment- bar chart showing pledge dollars  received vs. total dollars pledged
  • Capital Campaign Projects- Project Descriptions; Estimated Costs; Project Updates; Photos & Videos (where applicable)
We have posted our first video, which can be found under the Carillon Renovation project and provides you with a 10-minute tour of the carillon itself. If you have never been up there, now's your chance. Just a few clicks and you are on your way!
We will be updating the site periodically as pledge fulfillment totals change and individual project updates and photos/videos are added.

Thank you.
Sandy Hook Bay National Marine Sanctuary
Please join us this Sunday, March 6th in Ralph Hall following the 10:00am service for a conversation with parishioner Rik Van Hemmen.

Rik has proposed the creation of the Sandy Hook Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This would be equivalent to creating a National Park out of the waters of Sandy Hook Bay between the tip of Sandy Hook and the tip of Earle Weapon Center and all the way up the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers.

This idea was found to be interesting by a large group of people and is taking on a significant amount of public interest and momentum with national and local environmental organizations, and with local businesses and stake holders. The creation of a National Marine Sanctuary occurs by citizen nomination and Rik will explain this process and what it means to live along a National Marine Sanctuary to the members of St. Georges and interested visitors.

Like a National Park, the Sandy Hook Bay National Marine Sanctuary would be a gift from us to our children and their children and will be a testament to our good fortune of living around such an incredibly unique waterscape.

68th Canterbury Fair
JUNE 11, 2016
MARK YOUR CALENDAR

The Canterbury Fair is a 68-year St George's tradition that brings our Parish together in a generous outpouring of community support.
If you have participated in the past, you know that it is fun and gratifying.  We look forward to seeing everyone again on June 11th.  If you haven't participated before, we would be delighted to have you to join your fellow parishioners as a committee chair or committee member.
There is a committee to please everyone's interest and talents.  Please review the list below. Check off your top three choices so we can make sure that you can contribute in a way that you enjoy.  This will also help assure that each committee is staffed appropriately.  If you are unable to serve on a committee, we most certainly could use your assistance during the week before with setup and preparation as well as on the day of the event.
PLANNING IS NOW UNDERWAY to make this year's Canterbury Fair the most successful ever and with your participation, it will be!

Please e-mail your choices to Herb Geiss at canterburyfair@stgeorgesrumson.org
