Twilight Concert for Medically  Fragile
Children
For the 19th straight year, the concert will be held at St. George's:
this Saturday, March 7th, from 5-7pm.The Twilight concert for Children with AIDS has raised more than $560,000 over the last eighteen years--and has no overhead costs. Every dollar raised goes to St. Clare's Home for Children.

Tickets are $50 each. Our highly acclaimed folk, gospel, and soft rock concert consists of well-known artists from the area. The wide-ranging musical arrangement makes it entertaining for people of all ages. This year's concert will feature songs from the Eagles. The concert is followed by an elegant reception made possible by local businesses and St. George's hospitality committee. More than 200 people attended last year's concert.

We are grateful that every year more members of this parish support our efforts in so many different ways. Please call Carole Costell (732-222-7699) for details, or buy tickets at the door! Thanks for your participation in this worthy cause.

Canterbury Fair Chairs NEEDED

This is Christianna's last year chairing the fair, so she would love if someone could shadow her this year in order to be able to take over next year.

This is the greatest way to get to know all the wonderful parishioners at St. George's and also help raise money for our ministries and Outreach. Please contact Christianna at CTHARVEY2@GMAIL.COM

We are also still looking for Lobster Lunch co-chairs. Please contact Christianna if you are interested, 937-367-3221.

REMINDER: As always, please hold on to your treasures for the June 13th Fair White Elephant!

Girls' Friendly Society

Our next session will be in the
Pine Room on Sunday, 3/15/15 from 11:30am - 12:30pm, lunch will be served.
Our theme for the session will be Restraint and Self-Discipline.  As we are in the throws of Lent, we will be participating in our very own St. G's Great GFS Lenten Challenge!
During the week leading up to our session Saturday, March 7 - Saturday, March 14 the girls will be asked to sacrifice a few minutes of their time each day to do something nice for someone else and then report back to the group on their successes, feelings, and thoughts about the challenges they faced.

We ask that they journal their week on the attached document and bring their journal to our meeting on 3/15.  We will go around the room and each of us will share our experiences.

If your daughter is unable to attend the session, she is welcomed to participate in the challenge and just hand in, or email, her journal.

We look forward to seeing you all on 3/15/15!

 Nicole & Christianna

Our Family Promise Guests are returning!
They will be with us beginning Sunday, March 22.  We are looking for volunteers to provide evening meals for approximately 16 people, evening hosts to share a meal and play host for a few hours each evening, and over night hosts.  We also will need assistance stocking the kitchen for their stay.
If you would like to help in any way, please see the sign up sheet by the water fountain in Ralph Hall, or contact Janine Lamm-Roy.  Thank you so much for helping with this important ministry!

Skeptics and Sudbible still lifes

The next meeting of Skeptics and Suds will be held on

Monday, March 9th at Molly Maguire's 132 East River Road, Rumson. We will meet from 7:00pm - 8:30pm.

Using short readings from contemporary, "progressive" theologians, and others who challenge the status quo of Christian interpretation, we will consider, contemplate, and debate many of the things we've been taught about God and Jesus and our faith. Can we challenge traditional interpretations of the Bible and find a spiritually meaningful understanding? If so, what might such a fresh understanding of the Scripture look like?

The discussion will be facilitated by both clergy and laity from St. George's-by-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson, but anyone in the community is warmly invited to participate. Whatever spiritual perspective you represent - "traditional" Christian, another faith, no faith, "spiritual but not religious" or whatever - we would love to have you join us. Contact Jeff Roy or Joel Rogers for more information.

Senior High Youth Group

Wednesday, March 11th, we will be going to SkyZone for trampolining.  Meet at Ralph Hall at 6pm and we will carpool over to SeaView Square Mall.
Please bring enough money to cover jumping ($16 for 60 minutes or $25 for 90 minutes and $2 for SkySocks). St. George's will buy pizza.  Please RSVP to Brenda if you plan to attend!  Invite a friend!
