Each and every pledge, no matter how large or small, has great significance to our parish life and mission, just as you have great significance to our life together.

Evensong in Commemoration
of
our Organ

Sunday, November 16th, 4:30pm

Reception to follow in Ralph Hall

In August 1962, St. George's made the decision to purchase a new organ to replace its original instrument from 1907, since the cost of the repairs rivaled the cost of a new instrument. The renowned organ building firm of Aeolian-Skinner was selected to build the new instrument, which took approximately 2 years to complete. On November 15, 1964, the new organ was dedicated. On Sunday, November 16, 2014 - exactly 50 years later - the legacy and ministry of the organ will be recognized and celebrated at both the 10am Eucharist and 4:30pm Evensong. Featured will be hymns, anthems and voluntaries that were offered in 1964.

Aslan Youth Ministries in need of Volunteers
We have a need for Bible class teachers. We need 2 at our Red Bank location and 4 at our Neptune location. Classes are weekly and require about a 2 hour time commitment. Children range in age from 5-15. We also need tutors in all three locations--Red Bank, Long Branch, and Neptune. Again, weekly and a 2 hour time commitment. We provide training and all materials necessary. This is a great opportunity for students--high school and college age--to earn community service hours. Anyone interested may visit our web site--www.aslanyouth.org--and complete the volunteer application found there.
God bless, Janis Marler Volunteer Coordinator
