Also, our guest preacher at 8 am and 10 am will be Liz Swikart, longtime, active parishioner, who will share why St. George's is special to her.

Parent and Mentor Confirmation Information Meeting
For all those families interested in having their child/ren (8th grade or older) participate in Confirmation this school year, you are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting this Sunday immediately following the 10am Service in the church. Please contact Jeff with any questions.

If you are interesting in being a mentor for a Confirmand, please contact  Brenda or Jeff.

FAMILY PROMISE

Our Family Promise guests are returning, and we are looking for Volunteers!

We will be playing host to our Guests from October 19 through October 25th. If you are able to a  ssist as either a Chef, Evening Host, or Overnight Host, please see the sign up sheet by the water fountain in Ralph Hall, or email  Janine Lamm-Roy (jlammroy@me.com). If you are not able to participate in the above roles, please consider helping us stock the pantry, pick up/return linens to Jersey Shore Medical, or set up/tear down. Please contact Janine with any questions-- no experience is required.

Outerwear for Outreach
Coat Drive  
Now until the end of November, we will be collecting coats and parkas for adults and children. The coats do not need to be cleaned, but please clean out the pockets. 
Racks are set up in Ralph Hall. 
Donations will go to Lunch Break, Project Paul and Family Promise.

The Junior High Youth Group will be participating in the

CropWalk again this year on Sunday, October 19th.  

All parishioners are welcome to join us for this fun event which raises funds and collects food for the Monmouth County Food Bank. We will walk as a church. Registration begins at 1pm and at 2pm the walk begins. Please join us!! If you would like a pledge form, please contact

SCI Knitters will meet this Sunday, the 12th, at 2:30pm at 82 Grange Ave, Fair Haven.  

We will knit for Seamen's Church Institute's "Christmas-at-Sea" program.

1. Whether or not you would attend such a service.

2. If so, what kind of service would you like to see offered, with what style/kind of music?

3. Whom we should "target," i.e. families with children, the unchurched, teens, other?
