Worship this Sunday:
8am and 10am;
"More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,"
(Phil 3).
What exactly does Paul mean when he refers to the
"surpassing value" of knowing Christ? And how can we know Christ in such a way that our earthly anxieties are diminished?

Your Input is Desired!
St. George's Clergy is considering starting a Saturday evening worship service. But before we decide whether to or not, we need to know:

1. Whether or not you would attend such a service.
2. If so, what kind of service would you like to see offered, with what style/kind of music?
3. Whom we should "target," i.e. families with children, the unchurched, teens, other?

Cardboard Box City Update
Thanks to Jeff and Candace Roy, Sonja and Sophia Bocklage and Leslie Tuthill with her grandson Braeden, who participated in Cardboard Box City.  And thanks to all the St. George's parishoners who donated to help homeless families and Family Promise of Monmouth County.  We raised over $600 and through the event, Family Promise raised over $14,000. Thank you!

GIRLS FRIENDLY SOCIETY

Dog Biscuit Making

ThisSaturday, October 4th, at 11:00am in the Pine Room

Thank you all who attended our first session yesterday. It was fantastic!! We welcomed some new girls and welcomed back some vets.

Apologies for having back to back sessions, but we wanted to be ready for the blessing of the animals next Sunday. So we will again be baking dog biscuits for the furry friends coming to visit St. G's for their annual blessing. The treats were a big hit last year and we are excited to be providing them again this year.

We will meet in the pine room at 11:00am. Lunch will NOT be served due to the (messy) nature of the activity :-)

Administrative items:

         - Please bring a rolling pin and any shape cookie cutters you may have at home

         - If you are able to stay and help out, we could use the extra hands

         - If you have not yet submitted the $25 dues for your daughter, please do so either to me or Dianne on Saturday or through the office to Debbie.

We look forward to seeing all of you this Saturday!

-Nicole Houston
