Mary Connell Gaynor
"Sweet Silence"

Middletown artist Mary Connell Gaynor takes her inspiration from life. She is known for her sensitive pastel portraits of children which she has been creating for 30 years. Mary approaches her studies of animals with that same gentle passion. Mary's education as an artist has been lifelong, beginning with lessons from local artists to studying as Moore College of Art and Monmouth University.

ST. GEORGE'S 2014 RAFFLE
 
If you have been living on MARS for the last several months, you probably are not aware that

the Raffle drawing is this Friday, August 29 at 7:45 pm at the "Meet the Artists" reception.  

You still have time to win one of the great prizes and help the parish meet its commitment to our Outreach programs. We are most grateful to those who have already sold and/or purchased tickets and if you haven't already done so, please consider participating in the Raffle. Tickets and payment can be dropped off at the church office or purchased at the Art Show until the drawing. Thank you.

BACKPACK COLLECTION
for Foster and Adoptive Services

Any donations will be greatly appreciated: backpacks, pencils, markers, crayons, glue, erasers, rulers, notebooks. Wouldn't it be great if we could top the 47 backpacks filled with items from last year? There will be containers set up in Ralph Hall and in the church doorway.

 

The backpacks will be blessed at the altar on Sunday, September 7th during the 10am Worship.

St. George's let's help build...

Cardboard Box City

 

Family Homelessness has reached crisis proportions -

over 200 children are without homes each day

 

SAVE THE DATE:

Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, 6pm

on grounds of Monmouth Church of Christ, Tinton Falls

 

All St. George's adults, teenagers or children under 12 (accompanied by a parent ) are welcome to participate.

 

We will decorate boxes starting at 6pm.

We will have a soup/bread for dinner and a light breakfast in the morning.

There will be a parade of boxes, prize for best decorated box and a live concert.

Breakdown is Saturday 6-8am.
