Personal Reflection:
 

 

What do you suppose Mary might have thought and felt after Gabriel's visit? 

 

Mary "pondered these things in her heart" (p 313, 316). Surely her understanding of who Jesus was grew and matured over the years. How has reading through the Old Testament impacted your understanding of who Jesus is?

 

 

 

Closing Prayer:
Ask God for eyes to see Jesus as he is "the Light, the Life, Immanuel, the Son of God, the Savior and so much more!

Questions  to Consider:
It's important to remember that Mary and Joseph were real people living in a real small town. How might Joseph's family and the townspeople have responded when Mary turned up pregnant before the wedding day? What do you suppose their reaction would have to the "an angel told me that God would make me pregnant" story?
