Outreach: To Seek, Share and Serve
Food Drive

February 23rd through April 17th

We have started our Lenten Food Drive two weeks early due to the critical need of families in our area who do not have enough to eat.

This year the food we collect will be donated to Lunch Break in Red Bank. Every month they serve 4,000- 5,000 meals and distribute 1,600-2,000 bags of emergency food. Over 500 families depend on Lunch Break every month for their groceries.

Lunch Break Food Pantry Wish List (Non-Perishable): canned or dry beans; canned fruits, vegetable, soups, stews, chili, tuna fish, chicken; cereals; peanut butter and jelly; pasta and sauces; macaroni and cheese, mashed potato and rice mixes.

Please deposit all food in receptacles in church entryway or in Ralph Hall.

Sea Bright Dune Planting

NOTE DATE CHANGE

Saturday, March 15th 11am-2pm

Snow/Rain Date Sunday, Mar. 16th

The date has been changed from March 1st to March 15th because the ground is still frozen.

The Sea Bright resident volunteer group needs help planting 100,000 culms of dune grass. The grass needs to be planted when it is dormant, the planting must be done before the spring. In December about a mile of beach was planted. Their goal is to have 400 volunteers.

Dress in layers and bring gloves and a hat.  Bring a broom handle or stick to help create a hole to plant the grass in. Instruction will be provided on site before they begin.

Meeting places are the Boro Hall in Sea Bright (if coming from the south) or at the Beach Walk Hotel on Ocean Ave in Sea Bright (if coming from the north).
