Center for Independent Futures (CIF) - Open House, Mar 15
Attend CIF's Open House, March 15, 2013, 2 - 5 p.m.

Center For Independent Futures has moved to their new home on Davis St! The new center allows space for a training room that will allow for onsite training of CIF's best practice models and philosophies that have been developed into direct support of individuals and their families. 

 

Join them on Friday, March 15th to view the new space and enjoy some light Irish fare, joy, laughter and CIF community.

Jane Miller introduces the first of the Spring/Summer F.H. Clothing Collection! Each item of the collection is one-of-a-kind and definitely worth a look! Jane Miller women's clothing gallery, specializes in unique clothing & accessories created by independent designers from around the country for women who want style, comfort & simplicity. Spring Equinox Yoga Nidra with Corinne Peterson at Grateful Yoga - Saturday, March 16, 4-6pm 

Grateful Yoga On this midpoint between the winter and summer, we take time to honor growth, change, and new beginnings through the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra. Through this practice we relax into stillness, sensing the reawakening energy of the Earth, and connecting into a deep well-spring of joy. Everyone is welcome, beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Join Yoli Maya Yeh, kids yoga specialist and professional goofball for this hour of playful yoga the whole family can enjoy. This class is specifically designed for kids at different developmental stages  and their ageless parents/grandparents. Adults do not need to have previous yoga experience. Come play!   
 

New Hours and Phone Number at Prana Cafe 

Prana Cafe located at 1840 Oak Ave. is now open M-F from 7:30am to 1:30pm, complete with a new menu of fresh-baked pastries and croissants as well as 5 flavors of baked empanadas and soup. Everything is made fresh on-premise from scratch.

 

The cafe space is also available for events and as a commercial kitchen available for hourly rental after 2pm daily Monday through Saturday and anytime on Sundays. Customers can call or text (847) 440-4527 to place an order ahead of time for pick up at a specific time.

Youth Job Center Spring Job Fair - March 28 
Looking for a job? Attend the Youth Job Center's Spring Job Fair - open to everyone! Speak directly with recruiters looking to fill jobs right here in Evanston. This is a free fair to attend and is taking place at the Evanston Public Library at 1703 Orrington Ave. on Thrusday, March 28 from 1-4pm.

Women Out Walking (W.O.W.) Kick-off Event - March 23 

Women Out Walking (W.O.W.) is a 12 week walking program designed to encourage women in Evanston to lead healthier lifestyles and become more physically active. Using walking as the foundation, individuals and teams of women are asked to track their steps and seek to improve their activity level on a weekly basis. Attend the W.O.W. Kick-Off Event and get involved!

Annual National Meeting of The Haiku Society of America 

The Haiku Society of America will host its Annual National Meeting with a symposium and cultural events in Evanston, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 27-29. Open to the public, the event's theme of contemporary haiku and its future will enlighten beginning and experienced poets.

A full schedule, biographies of speakers, registration form, and instructions for hotel reservations, may be requested by email from Charlotte Digregorio, HSA Midwest Regional Coordinator, at
