Volunteer Evanston 

2013 marks the 150th anniversary of Evanston's founding. In honor 
of Evanston's legacy of civic engagement, Volunteer Evanston encourages community members to celebrate by taking a pledge to  
help meet the community's goal of
reaching 150,000 volunteer hours in 2013. 

  

The Evanston Symphony Orchestra: "Musical Passports"! 

Slavic Favorites - and a Romanian born violinist - highlight the second destination of the Evanston Symphony Orchestra's 67th season, themed "Musical Passports." Concert is 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Pick-Staiger concert hall in Evanston.

 

Tickets for the March 3 available in advance at evanstonsymphony.org, by calling 847-864-8804 or at the box office. There will also be a free and open to the public pre-concert lecture/demonstration that we call "Musical Insights"  on Friday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m. at the North Shore Retirement Hotel.

Prana Cafe is now open M-F from 7:30am to 1:30pm, complete with a new menu of fresh-baked pastries and croissants as well as 5 flavors of baked empanadas and soup. Everything is made fresh on-premise from scratch.
