ShowCase 2016
Costume Photos
Costume Portraits will be made April 11-14 at the Southaven Studio. Wednesday Hernando Elementary Dance will meet at the Southaven studio on this day at our regular class time. Saturday classes will take photos on Thursday on the following schedule:  Preschool class 5:30-6:15; Elementary class 6:00-6:45. You may style hair any way you like for the photo, very little if any make up is recommended for younger students. Bring all costumes and accessories, your best class tights and all shoes. We will not have any dance or acro classes on these days. There is no sitting fee; the cost for five 4x5's (five different poses) plus one 8x10 composite of all poses is $50 for one dancer or $55 for two siblings photographed in the same package. Extra poses are $5 each. Group photos 5x7 are $10 each.

Daddy Dance
Our Daddy Dance is a fun tradition of ShowCase! Our dads, granddads, uncles, any important male in the life of our dancers will love dancing with his star! We will practice for 30 minutes, with your dancer, on Monday April 25 and May 2 at 5:00, Wednesday April 27 and May 4 at 6:30 and Saturday April 30 and May 7 at noon. Attending 3 practices should be plenty of preparation. We will also post a YouTube practice video. The cost for the DD Tee is $12. 

ShowCase Tees
We will take orders for the ShowCase 16 souvenir tee through April 20.  The cost of the tee is $15.  Send your order with size and permission to use your card on file to starsinmotion@yahoo.com. 
Pom Clinic

Stars In Motion will launch our new All Star Dance Teams in April 2016! Clinic April 29,5:30-7:00pm, $10 per dancer. Tryouts April 30, 3:30pm. Competitive Elite Team, Prep Performance Team, Pom Tech Classes and the Dream Team. Pom Class is open to all! 
The Dream Team is ON! We now offer a dance class specifically designed for youth ages 8-18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or rather, differently abled. Our first session is May 17-June 21 at our Hernando studio, the session fee is $85.

RiverKings Performance
The last day to purchase tickets is Thursday, April 7 at midnight!!  Use the link below.
All SIM dancers will perform at the RiverKings Hockey game on Friday April 8, at the Landers Center. We have been working so hard and your dancer is super excited about this opportunity! Please arrive at your seats by 6:45. We will dance at the second intermission. Dancers should wear jeans, tennis shoes and the SIM Gym tank.  Hair should be in a high ponytail with no accessories (no hair bows). The routines are on our YouTube channel for practice, starsinmotion5678. Tickets are $16 each and evryone will need a ticket. ShowStars Company
We will have an informational meeting to discuss plans for our ShowStars Competitive Dance Company. With the development of our All Star Pom Team, we want to be very clear about the different opportunities. Anyone interested in competing in traditional dance styles will need to attend or have a representative attend for them. We will meet at the Southaven Studio on Monday, May 2 at 6:00pm.

Next Season
The schedule for the 2016-17 dance season will be posted soon. Priority registration for SIM Season 20 will run through May 15. We have several additions and changes coming next season. And to celebrate 20 awesome years, we have a wonderful surprise for our SIM families!

We will offer several Summer Programs, including a full time and drop in KidFit day camp, Mini Dance Camps, Pom Camp and Dance Intensives. We will also offer several more fitness classes and workshops for adults.
