Recent studies, such as the one published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute in 2014, showed that using perineal powder was not associated with a risk of ovarian cancer, compared to never having used it.

In the Teal Spotlight

"The Arson's Match," the live Blues album from acclaimed musician Peter Karp, reached the coveted number one spot on The Roots Music Report's Blues chart last week. The album is part of the "Live for Hope" 2-CD set to benefit OCRFA in memory of Peter's late wife Mary Lou Karp, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2009. The set also features the award-winning album "Change" by Sue Foley. Through September 2017, all proceeds from the digital sale and download of the "Live for Hope" 2 CD set will benefit OCRFA.

Team Hope All-Star
Swarm of Vultures

Swarm of Vultures, pictured at right, took on ovarian cancer in the 2015 Shuley Cup by selecting OCRFA as their charity of choice. Hosted by Shuley Nakamura Charitable Foundation, Shuley Cup is an invite-only competitive hockey tournament that offers players a fun way to give back, by raising funds for four charities and awarding each a quarter of total funds raised at the end of the tournament. After a full weekend of hockey excitement, Swarm of Vultures took a solid second place, and $6,374 was raised for OCRFA!

There are so many ways to fundraise. Click here to create your very own event or page, or email Melissa Chemick for more information. You could be our next Team Hope All-Star!
