Scientists have identified a new class of gene mutation that may contribute to outcomes in the treatment of ovarian cancer. Research on the ADAMTS gene family could open a new genetic avenue for the design of ovarian cancer therapies. Newk's Eatery's Teal Cup for
Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Last September, top fast-casual restaurant Newk's Eatery launched a month-long Newk's Cares ovarian cancer awareness and fundraising campaign at more than 70 locations in the southeast, which culminated in OCRF's first ever Ovarian Cycle event in Jackson, MS. Newk's was the Presenting Sponsor for Ovarian Cycle Jackson, and their employees were the driving force behind the event which raised more than $120,000 for OCRF. Earlier this year Newk's Cares, co-founded by ovarian cancer survivor Lori Newcomb, received national recognition, ranking 2nd among the top 10 marketing campaigns in the fast-casual category at the National Restaurant Association 2015 trade show.

Registration will open soon for OCRF's Ovarian Cycle Jackson, once again presented by Newk's Eatery. This year's event will be held at The Club at The Township in Ridgeland on September 17th.
