Is it still snowing? All this crazy weather hasn't slowed Crossroads down one bit. This month, we are excited to announce a $4,000 grant awarded to Crossroads by The Gannett Foundation. We are also looking forward to our next Coffee Chat event with Caron Treatment Centers. We are welcoming Doug Cowan, LADC, LCPC to our clinical team and offering up our popular Friends and Family educational series again.

Slots Open in Women's IOP (Scarborough): Crossroads has a few spots left in its women's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) group in Scarborough. This gender-responsive therapy group meets at Crossroads' office on 71 US Route One, Suite E. The sessions run Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm. ArticleOneCrossroads Awarded $4,000 Grant from The Gannett Foundation

Crossroads was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $4,000 from The Gannett Foundation to support the Barbara L. Dacri Scholarship Fund. The funds will be used for clients in need of financial assistance for treatment at Crossroads' 30-day Back Cove Residential Program.

ArticleThreeCrossroads and Caron Team Up for Coffee Chat and Breakfast

Crossroads and Caron Treatment Centers are proud to host another quarterly event featuring
a guest speaker, breakfast and networking opportunities. Our next Coffee Chat will be on Wednesday, March 18th from 7:30am - 9:00am at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.

 

This quarter's topic is eating disorders and substance abuse. The presenter is Dr. Kathleen Hart, a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of eating and anxiety disorders. Her presentation will explore some of the similarities between substance abuse and eating disorders from a functional and behavioral framework.

ArticleFiveCrossroads Friends and Family Educational Series
Crossroads will be offering The Effects of Addiction on Friends & Family 4-Week Educational Series to anyone who has a loved one with a substance use problem, male or female, who may or may not be in treatment. Those working with people affected by addiction will also find this series helpful. 

The 4-week series covers: The Basics of Addiction, The Effects of Addiction on the User & Family & Friends, Relapse & Recovery, and The Do's & Don'ts. 

The series will run on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm from March 17th - April 7th and will be facilitated by Doug Cowan, LADC, LCPC. The cost of the series is $25 per session or $90 paid in advance.
