newsletter header
We're excited to debut our newly re-designed e-newsletter! We hope you like the new, cleaner look. This month, we're sharing how the complementary therapies in our Back Cove Residential Program are contributing to the success of this program. We'd also like to congratulate Dr. Wiktor on becoming a fully licensed psychologist and invite you to join us for a "dough raising" event at Uno Pizzeria and Grill on July 17.

If you missed our recent open house event to see the beautiful Back Cove residence, I invite you to view photos from the event on our Flickr page. More photos of the residence can be found here.

Happy Summer!

ArticleOneComplementary Therapies at Crossroads
As we created the programming for the Back Cove Residential Program in Portland, Maine, we felt it would be of great importance to design a program that was holistic in nature in order to address all components of an individual's overall health, as research has shown that this approach results in greater recovery rates.

The programming at our beautiful Back Cove facility is intensive, and these complementary therapies have helped our clients reach an optimum level of emotional and physical health in the earliest stage of their recovery journey.

Read more about our complementary therapy services, including yoga, acupuncture and equine therapy, in an article written by Dr. Mary Anne Roy, Psy.D., Crossroads Clinical Director

ArticleTwoCongrats to Dr. Wiktor and a New DBT Group Time

We would like to congratulate Dr. Beata Wiktor, LCPC, PsyD on becoming fully licensed as a psychologist. Dr. Wiktor is available to see outpatient clients on Thursdays in our Greater Portland Counseling Center located in Scarborough.

In addition to individual counseling, Dr. Wiktor facilitates the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Group, which will now be offered in Scarborough on Thursdays at 12:15pm starting on August 14. The DBT group will focus on developing skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. This open group is women-only and can be joined at any time.
