Happy New Year! As we wrap up the first month in 2014, Crossroads is excited for the new adventures the new year will bring. Shannon Trainor, Crossroads executive director, has started a new video blog, where she will talk about different topics each month. We have a fun food event coming up that will also help fundraise for the Barbara L Dacri Patient Scholarship Fund. And, of course, our new residential program for women will open its doors in a few days!

We're excited to start a new vlog (video blog) series on the Crossroads Blog in 2014! Each month, Crossroads executive director, Shannon Trainor, will publish a short video on different topics relating to addiction, mental health and gender-responsive treatment.

In her first vlog for January 2014, Shannon talks about making resolutions and rules around drinking in the new year and whether or not that may be a sign to seek professional help.

ArticleThreeBack Cove Residential Program is Now Taking Clients!
As we've mentioned in the past couple of newsletters, Crossroads is opening a brand new residential program for women in February of 2014. We are just about ready to open the doors to this program, housed in our former halfway house in Portland, to women from Maine and beyond.

Our goal with the Back Cove Residential Program is to provide holistic treatment to women who seek a serene spot in which to get away for a short time and start their road to recovery. In addition to cutting edge gender-responsive addiction and emotional health treatment, our holistic approach includes yoga, equine therapy, acupuncture and other complementary services.

The 30-day Back Cove Residential Program is open to women 18 and over and accepts private insurance and self-pay. Patient scholarships are also available to those who qualify. Those interested in accessing the program or making a referral can call our intake department directly at 207.773.9931.
