Top 10 Things You Can Learn
from dance about
working together better!
- A lead is an indication of direction...a suggestion, not a demand.
- Be sensitive to your partner. Never blame or ridicule.
- Teamwork wins. You are judged by how good you make your partner look.
- A good partnership requires patience, understanding and an awareness of partner needs.
- Life is great when you're both dancing to the same beat.
- Every dance is like a three-minute relationship. If someone is critical during the dance they probably will be the same when the music stops.
- A successful partnership maintains the uniqueness of each individual without disrupting the connection of the partnership.
- Praise works wonders. Applaud little accomplishments and bigger ones will follow.
- When learning something new, don't hurt anybody.
- Focus on what is right, not who is right.

WHAT DO YOU SAY?
Body language is not just something you use when dancing. It's a part of everyday communication.
What is your body really saying?
Pointing Finger = Aggressive Sighing= Bored, Impatient
Rolled Eyes= "Dumb Idea!"
Stroking Chin= Contemplating
*Folded Arms = Closed Mind
*Even if you're just folding your arms
because you're cold, it may be interpreted negatively.

Quote
of the Month
"In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope.
In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort.
In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream.
And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe."
-Michael Jackson
