October Greetings!

I hope you're doing well on this last day of October!

In this month's Communique' I've included

"Three Clues That You Should Choose to Call Instead of Email or Text."  That's an excerpt from my newest keynote "How to Maintain High-Touch Relationships in High-Tech Times."

You'll also find an invitation to register for a November 19 e-learning session I'm presenting based on my book "If You Can't Say Something Nice, What DO You Say?"

THANKS to the Professional Business Women of California for sponsoring this e-learning session.

Lastly, a reminder:

Time changes this weekend! Remember to

"Fall Back!"

Three Clues You Should Choose to Call Instead of Email or Text

(excerpt from Sarita's new keynote "How to Maintain High-Touch Relationships in High-Tech Times")

1. Numerous questions

Use the "rule of three"...if you have to go back and forth via email three times, may be best to pick up the phone and call.

2. Sensitive Subject

Before emailing, texting or posting on Facebook
ask yourself:  "How would I feel if this information showed up on the front page of my local newspaper?"

3.  Conflict Resolution/Problem Solving

The verbal and non-verbal nuances of communication can be lost in on-line exchanges. Face-to-face, or at least a phone conversation, insures that you're more likely to capture the
subtle points.

Plus, as photo below illustrates, on-line communication is NOT a substitute for a
real relationship!
