Tom has also created a related mini-retreat, and I have the privilege of being one of the speakers...along with Ugg Boots founder Brian Smith, Olympic Medalist Tasha Danvers, "Martinis & Meditation" Maven Lisa Jaffe and others!
 
In this edition of the Communique', get a sneak preview of some of the strategies I'll be sharing at the mini-retreat in my presentation "How to Work Together Better...in Business and Beyond" including:

The upcoming mini-retreat is on the evening of Friday June 28 and all day Saturday June 29 in San Diego.  It focuses on how to achieve your goals, gain greater purpose and experience more fulfillment & happiness in eight different aspects of your life.  (I'll be addressing the area of relationships, especially at work!)

Do You Play Nicely at Work?

Rate Yourself - 1 Lo to 10 Hi

 

  1. I acknowledge others in the group and give credit where credit is due.    
  2. I follow thru on things that I have said I would do.    
  3. When I have a problem with another team member I go to them directly to discuss my concerns.    
  4. I focus on the positive aspects of others on the team rather than putting them down or criticizing.    
  5. I make sure that my personal life does NOT interfere with my performance at work.   
  6. I am flexible and adapt easily to changes that occur in my organization.   
  7. I respect team members' requests for confidentiality when they share concerns with me.

 

TOTAL TEAMWORK:  1, 2, 3!

 

 

Teamwork comes in many forms, from group assignments and project management at work...to family reunion planning and social committees in your personal life.   However, they all have something in common: the three roles that people play in the group.
