A Day in the Life -Interview - Photo

February Greetings!

Holy Flashback Batman!  Didn't I already do a Superhero Communique'?!!

If you have been reading the Communique' for a while, you may recall the March 2009 "Are You A Superhero?" edition.

That was shortly after I had the pleasure of speaking to 400 leaders at a UCSD Medical Center Superhero-themed event.  (See photo of me with "Superman" below.)

Sarita poses with Superman

In this edition of the Communique', find out

why I am revisiting the Superhero theme.

(HINT:  It's a worthy cause!)

Also in this edition:

  • 10 Lessons Learned from Superheros
  • Superhero Quiz...first 3 to reply get a prize!
  • Where you can see Sarita speak in the next couple months

    and more...

Enjoy the "supertools" in this Communique' and I will look forward to connecting with you when I'm speaking in your city!

All the best,

 Are You a Superhero?

Take a look at these "10 Lessons Learned from Superheroes" and see if you qualify as a Superhero.

1. Never give up - superheros are persistent

2. Always get the job done ("I will" instead of "I'll try")

3. The best at what they do

4. Crystal clear on their purpose

5. Not flawless -  ( ex - we all have our "kryptonite")

6. Don't do what they do to seek the glory

7. Help others

8. Accomplish great feats  (ex - doing more with less)

9. Perform alone but are more powerful in teams

10. Strength comes from their character

 What Do You Say?

"I will", "I can," "I'll do it"

These phrases all suggest the powerful "can do" attitude of someone who gets the job done!  (See Superhero Lesson # 2 above).  In the words of the all-knowing Yoda in the movie Star Wars, "Do, or do not. There is no 'try'."

  Why Superhero Theme Revisited?

This year we have a Superhero theme for our Annual Support Campaign at the Mottino YMCA in Oceanside, CA.

As a volunteer Board member, I am helping the Y raise money to provide financial assistance to those who can't afford the  services such as summer camps, swim lessons and child care.

Please be a super HERO and visit my Campaigner Page to make a donation online...and make a difference!

(Feel free to use your "superpowers" from afar...you don't have to be in San Diego area to help!)

Where can you see Sarita speak in next couple months?

Bedminster, NJ

Detroit, MI

Greenwich, CT

Los Angeles, CA
